Q: How does competitor tracking work?

A: Our platform allows you to attach competitor domains directly to your projects. When the crawler runs, it cross-references your keyword and link data against these competitors, giving you a side-by-side comparison of where you are winning and where you are losing ground.

Q: Will your crawler slow down my website’s performance?

A: Our crawler is designed to be highly respectful of server resources. We utilize a smart queuing architecture that spaces out requests, ensuring we gather your SEO and broken link data quickly without overwhelming your server or affecting your live users.

Q: Can I manually stop a running project?

A: Yes. You have real-time control over your projects. Clicking the "Stop Scan" button on your dashboard will instantly signal the crawler to halt. The system will save your progress up to that exact millisecond, allowing you to review the data collected so far.

Q: Can I set a hard limit on how many pages the crawler analyzes?

A: Absolutely. Inside your project settings, you can define a strict "Crawl Limit" (e.g., 10,000 pages). Once the crawler hits this exact number, it will stop the scan and generate your reports. This is the best way to control costs when scanning massive enterprise domains.

Q: How does the “Allow Overages” (Auto-Billing) setting work?

A: "Allow Overages" acts as a seamless auto-pilot for large sites. When enabled, it grants the crawler permission to automatically dip into your prepaid credit balance if a scan exceeds your free monthly page limit. This ensures your massive crawls finish over the weekend without pausing and waiting for your manual approval.

Q: Am I charged credits for server timeouts or fatal errors?

A: No. If our crawler encounters a severe server timeout or an unreachable host that prevents us from analyzing the page, that URL is marked as an error in your report, but your account is not charged a credit for the attempt.

Q: What happens if I run out of free pages mid-scan?

A: If your free tier is exhausted and "Allow Overages" is turned off, the crawler will safely pause your project to protect your wallet. You will receive a "Limit Reached" or "Recharge" notification. You can then add credits to your account, click "Resume Scan," and the crawler will pick up exactly where it left off.

Q: How are my credits calculated during a scan?

A: Your plan's free monthly pages are always prioritized and used first. Once your free quota is exhausted, the system will automatically transition to using your credit balance, provided you have enabled the "Allow Overages" setting.
